Martyn Maxwell is a Director and Senior Snagging Inspector at New Build Inspections. With more than 30 years in construction and over 20 years specialising in new build inspections, he’s helped thousands of homeowners spot defects early and get them fixed before they move in.

Martyn isn’t reviewing this topic from behind a desk. He’s out on site inspecting homes, checking build quality against expected standards, and seeing first-hand the issues buyers run into at handover.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from Coventry University and brings a practical, no-nonsense approach to what matters most in a snagging inspection: clear evidence, clear priorities, and a clear plan for getting issues resolved with the developer.
